Hi! I am Emily!

Let me share something with you... I was YOU. I used to live by my Fit Bit calorie tracker, how sweaty my workouts were, how long I exercised, how many days I exercised, and thought if I stood there and lifted weights my workout was not effective (because there was not as many calories burned as a long run or boot camp…YIKES! I wish I would have known the truth). I had to be “all” in on my workout going 100mph or it didn’t count. I alway thought “more” was better when it came to exercise.

All this left me in a puddle of exhaustion, addiction to “adrenaline”... I had to get a high off doing an intense workout to make it count, and lots of issues with fat storage, yo-yoing in my weight, and feeling like utter crap. I blew up 20lbs while training for a marathon! Talk about feeling like a total failure!

Fast forward… I have realized now how to fuel my metabolism and get my body to work for me and not against me by using strength training + adequate nutrition. I have learned how to get my body composition to maintain where I like it… no more yo yo dieting or crazy plans, truly just a lifestyle change full of doable strategies, tips, and tricks I use week in and week out to help me to feel my BEST self both mentally and physically. Truly I feel like a whole new person and have for 5 + years.

Pairing my expertise as a dietitian, my knowledge of nutrition, working with over 1000s of clients, and my own experiences ... I knew I had to continue to help people learn the RIGHT way to achieve the body composition they have always dreamt of and give them the proven scientific approach to how nutrition, exercise, and body composition work together.

Cue meeting Matt Kasee from Trilogy Fitness Systems. I quickly realized that his expertise in strength training, passion for helping people, and evidence based approach would be a HUGE asset to my business and clientele. He also felt the same! So we decided to pair up and conquer the space of “Women in Strength Training” together.

We realized there was such limited advice out there for women that wanted to start lifting weights. Yes there was programs by chicks with 6 pack abs, and “buff bunny” slogans, etc but we wanted to bring something more realistic and less intimidating to get women to feel confident in grabbing that dumbbell, lifting more weight than their toddler, and truly experience the benefits of walking away from the detrimental “kill yourself” in the gym mentality! We wanted to make it doable, simple, and realistic for women to take charge of their workout routine!
